Andrew Rushton

Managing Director

Andrew, our Managing Director, is the son of the former Managing Director and former owner, Mr Ronald Rushton.

In 1982 Andrew completed his degree in Chemistry & Business Studies at the University of Salford. In 1983 he joined the family business as a Sales Representative.

After a very successful 6 year period of being Sales Representative for J. Allcock & Sons, Andrew was promoted to Commercial Director in 1988.

By 1996, Mr Ronald Rushton had retired and his successor, Mr Bob Howard, was also retiring. In April 1996, Andrew was appointed as Managing Director, and is now the company's longest serving MD.

During his time as Managing Director, Andrew has expanded J. Allcock & Sons product range and bought and incorporated Wellington Rubber Company Ltd.

Andrew helped to develop the Remould Devulcanisation System and set up Remould LTD.

He now uses his extensive knowledge to lecture on the recycling options available for rubber.

Keith Devine

Operations Director

Keith joined the company in 2013 and his responsibilities include maintenance, production scheduling/planning, co-ordinating purchase and sales of raw materials, quality control, customer liaison and staff employment.

Adrian France

Operations Director. Wellington Rubber

Adrian joined our team in June 2015 and has over 30 years experience within the tyre rubber reprocessing industry.

During this time he has worked within production, quality and management. Over the years, Adrian has advised and helped customers with their manufacturing problems and the development of new ideas and products.

Susan Long

Finance Manager

Susan, who joined the company in June 2016, is an ACCA qualified accountant with a BSc (Hons) degree in applied accounting and many years of experience in accountancy.

She has responsibility for all the financial matters and decision making within the accounts department. Susan also advises on employment and human resource legislation when necessary.

Stephen Marshall

Purchasing Manager

Stephen joined the company in May 2014 and has since progressed to the position of Purchasing Manager. He manages the product and service supplier accounts.

Jo Bennett

Sales Office Manager

Jo joined the company in 1989 and manages the Sales Office. She has extensive customer/sales knowledge and is usually the first point of contact for customer enquiries.

Norman Challinor

Polymer Consultant

Norman has over 50 years of experience working in the rubber industry. Working for the likes of Berwin, Vita, Polycom Phillips and BRR before joining Allcocks. With his vast technical knowledge, he is our fountain of knowledge on all things rubber and runs our quality system.  Through this, Norman's work has been vital to gaining our accreditation, which is currently ISO 9001-2015. We have held a quality mark since 1997.
