Fluids / Oils

Silicone fluids, also commonly known as silicone oils, are polydimethysiloxane polymers.

The viscosity of silicone fluids is caused by the chain length of the polymer. For example, our lowest viscosity fluid, Allcosil 200/0.65's polymer constituent is the dimer, hexamethyldisiloxane.

Applications:

• Release agent: Allcosil fluid provides a non-toxic, non-carbonising mould release for rubber, plastics and metal die-castings.
• Lubricant: Allcosil fluid provides excellent lubricating properties for most plastic and elastomeric surfaces.
• Mechanical fluid:The very high viscosity-index, the thermal and chemical stability, shear-breakdown resistance and the rubber compatibility as well as the compressibility make this fluid outstanding for mechanical and hydraulic uses.

J. Allcock & Sons can also blend different silicone fluids together using special machinery to produce custom viscosities.

Furthermore, we can also blend fluids with fragrances or dyes, such as our Silicone 1.1.1.A CITRAMAX which has a lemon scent.
